Davydenko tops Mathieu in Hamburg final

HAMBURG, Germany, July 26 (UPI) -- Russia's Nikolay Davydenko won the Hamburg Open in Germany Sunday, his 15th title on the ATP Tour.

Davydenko downed Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu 6-4, 6-2 in a match that lasted just under an hour and a half.

. The title was Davydenko's first this year. He now has a career record of 15-5 in championship matches.

Mathieu played in his first final of 2009.
