KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 25 (UPI) -- Billy Butler hit a go-ahead, two-run homer Saturday to lead Kansas City to a 6-3 win over Texas, ending a 10-game Royals losing streak.

The Royals got their first win since they beat Boston July 9 and just their second victory in their last 14 games.

Luke Hochevar (6-3) earned the win after limiting the Rangers to three runs on five hits with 13 strikeouts. Joakim Soria got the final six outs for his 15th save of the year.

Texas starter Derek Holland (3-6) gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks in 4 2/3 innings to suffer the loss.

Michael Young was 3-for-4 with a home run for the Rangers, whose five-game winning streak ended.
