TORONTO, July 24 (UPI) -- Evan Longoria drove in two runs with a bloop double in the 10th inning Friday that lifted the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-2 victory over Toronto.
Tampa Bay's Matt Garza and Toronto's Roy Halladay both worked nine innings in an excellent pitching duel but only Garza (7-7) figured in the decision. He struck out nine and gave up two runs on five hits.
Halladay, the subject of trade speculation, struck out 10 in what could have been his last game in a Toronto uniform.
He was relieved by Scott Downs in the 10th and Downs (1-2) walked Michael Hernandez to open the inning. The next two batters were retired but Carl Crawford drew a walk and Longoria drove in both runners with a double to shallow left-center.
J.P. Howell came on to retire three straight in the bottom of the 10th for his 11th save.
Tampa Bay has won six of the seven meetings with Toronto this season.
