Kyle Busch talks about improving

INDIANAPOLIS, July 24 (UPI) -- Sprint Cup driver Kyle Busch said Friday he needs to be a better team player during Sunday's Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in Indianapolis.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver enters Sunday's race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 10th place with 2,298 points in the latest Sprint Cup standings.

"I need to become a better person in being able to pull our team together and lead these guys and, ultimately, lead them back into the Chase," Busch said at a news conference. "Hopefully we can get back to some good ways here."

Busch won three Sprint Cup races this season -- one of two Gatorade Duels at Daytona, the Shelby 427 at Las Vegas and the Friedman 400 at Richmond, Va. -- but his 33rd place finish at the LifeLock.com 400 at the Chicagoland Speedway last week led to reflection about the overall season, he said.
