Rain postpones Indianapolis tennis action

Published: July 23, 2009 at 12:31 AM

INDIANAPOLIS, July 23 (UPI) -- Rain wiped out the entire day's play Wednesday at the Indianapolis Tennis Championships.

The action will resume Thursday with one first-round match still to be played -- that being between Taylor Dent and Marcos Daniel. The winner of that match will face top-seeded Dmitry Tursumov in the second round.

Among other matches pushed back to Thursday was the second-round confrontation between second-seeded Dudi Sela and qualifier Alex Bogomolov.

No. 3 seed Sam Querrey will take on Rajeev Ram and fourth-seeded Igor Kunitsyn will meet Wayne Odesnik.
