OAKLAND, Calif., July 22 (UPI) -- The Minnesota Twins knocked off the Oakland Athletics 3-2 Tuesday with an RBI triple by Michael Cuddyer in the top of the 10th inning.

Cuddyer drove in Joe Mauer from first base with a drive off the wall in right-center field off Andrew Bailey (3-4).

Matt Guerrier (5-0) pitched two scoreless innings for the win in relief of Anthony Swarzak, who held the A's to two runs on four hits in seven innings.

Oakland's Dallas Braden also went the first seven innings, giving up two runs on five hits.

The A's scored a pair of runs in the third inning to take the early lead. With runners on second and third, Adam Kennedy grounded out to bring one run home. Orlando Cabrera drove in the second run with a single.

Minnesota tied the score in the fourth when Joe Crede doubled and then scored on Delmon Young's triple. Young came home on a sacrifice fly by Nick Punto to make it 2-2 and set the stage for Cuddyer's extra-inning heroics.
