MLB: LA Angels 10, Kansas City 2 (Game 2)

KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 22 (UPI) -- Eric Aybar had four hits and three RBI to key the Los Angeles Angels' 10-2 win in the nightcap of Tuesday's doubleheader sweep in Kansas City.

Aybar, who had three hits and scored three runs in the opener, raised his batting average .016 to .315 for the season.

Rookie Sean O'Sullivan (3-0) allowed two runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings. Los Angeles is 5-0 in games O'Sullivan has started.

Bruce Chen (0-5) gave up three runs on seven hits in five innings for the Royals, who have lost eight consecutive games and gave up seven runs in the top of the seventh Tuesday.

The Royals, who lost the first game 8-5, scored runs in the first and second to take a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Halos tied it in the third on Robb Quinn's solo home run and an RBI double by Bobby Abreu. Abreu drove in three runs.

Abreu put Los Angeles ahead 3-2 with an RBI double in the fifth.

The Angels blew it open in the seventh off Robinson Tejeda and Juan Cruz. Aybar had a bases-loaded triple and scored on Abreu's third double of the game. Howie Kendrick added a two-run double to close out the scoring.
