SAN DIEGO, July 22 (UPI) -- Ricky Nolasco and three relievers combined on a three-hit shutout Wednesday, leading the Florida Marlins to a 5-0 win over the San Diego Padres.
Wednesday's victory capped a three-game sweep at San Diego's Petco Park.
Chris Coghlan led Florida with two hits -- one a two-run ninth-inning homer.
Dan Uggla had two hits and one RBI.
One run scored on Everth Cabrera's eighth-inning error, while John Baker added two hits for the Marlins, whose last loss was 5-0 on July 19 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Nolasco (7-7) surrendered two hits in 6 1/3 innings with three walks and 10 strikeouts.
Relievers Brendan Donnelly, Renyel Pinto and Kiko Calero finished the shutout.
Drew Macias, Kyle Blanks and Jose Lobaton all had one hit for the Padres, who have lost seven of their last eight games.
Losing pitcher Josh Geer (1-6) yielded only two runs and six hits in six innings.
