
TORONTO, July 21 (UPI) -- Victor Martinez's two-run double in the ninth inning Tuesday gave the Cleveland Indians a 2-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Martinez's hit came after Lyle Overbay threw an attempted sacrifice bunt into left field.
Cliff Lee (6-9) pitched his second consecutive complete game, allowing just one run on seven hits. Lee has won consecutive starts for the first time all season, although In six of his nine losses, he allowed no more than three runs.
The Indians stranded 14 runners -- nine in the first four innings.
Scott Rolen homered and rookie Brett Cecil pitched seven scoreless innings for the Blue Jays. Cecil allowed seven hits and walked four while striking out nine.
Scott Downs (1-1) was the loser after allowing two runs -- one earned -- in the ninth.
