MLB: Atlanta 8, San Francisco 1

ATLANTA, July 21 (UPI) -- Brian McCann homered and drove in four runs Tuesday, powering the Atlanta Braves' 8-1 romp over the San Francisco Giants.

Derek Lowe (9-7) allowed one run on seven hits and a walk in six innings.to earn the win, Atlanta's ninth in its last 12 games. Martin Prado went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI. Yunel Escobar also drove in a run.

San Francisco's Ryan Sadowski (2-2) failed to get out of the fourth inning in his fourth career start. The rookie right-hander, who entered the game with a 1.00 earned-run average, gave up eight runs on eight hits and three walks.

Juan Uribe drove in the lone run for the Giants, losers in five of their last six games.
