
ATLANTA, July 20 (UPI) -- Ryan Church hit a two-run homer in a six-run seventh inning Monday when the Atlanta Braves posted an 11-3 victory over San Francisco.
Chipper Jones also hit a two-run homer and Garret Anderson added a solo homer for the Braves, who have won eight of their last 11 games. Church was 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Tommy Hanson (5-0) earned the win after giving up three runs on five hits and striking out 11 in seven innings.
Braves shortstop Yunel Escobar, who was named the National League Player of the Week, was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
Randy Winn had a pair of hits, including a two-run double for San Francisco, which has lost four of its last five games.
Jonathan Sanchez, who was making his first start since no-hitting San Diego July 10, did not factor in the decision after allowing three runs on four hits.
Sergio Romo (2-1) gave up four runs in the sixth to take the loss.
