Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

TAHOE, Nev., July 19 (UPI) -- Former major league pitcher Rick Rhoden won the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament, for the eighth time Sunday in Nevada.
Rhoden totaled 74 points in the Stableford scoring system, in which scores include six points for an eagle, three for a birdie, one for a par and zero for a bogey.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo finished second with 71 points.
Former NFL quarterback Billy Joe Tolliver and ex-NFL player Dan Quinn shared third with 70 points.
