OAKLAND, Calif., July 19 (UPI) -- Bobby Abreu's 10th-inning homer produced the lone run Sunday and gave the Los Angeles Angels a 1-0 win over Oakland.

Starters John Lackey of the Angels and Oakland's Brett Anderson were locked in a scoreless dual through eight innings before closer and losing pitcher Andrew Bailey (4-2) entered in the top of the ninth.

Abreu's homer, his seventh of the season, settled the issue with one out in the top of the 10th. He finished with two of the three hits for the Angels, who won three times in the four-game series.

Lackey (5-4) surrendered three hits in nine innings with a walk and six strikeouts.

Closer Brian Fuentes earned his 28th save despite giving up Bobby Crosby's one-out infield single.

Anderson gave up two hits with no walks and six strikeouts.

Scott Hairston, Jack Cust and Adam Kennedy also had hits for the Athletics, who have lost six of nine.
