
KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 18 (UPI) -- Willy Aybar went 4-for-4 and drove in the winning run Saturday to pace the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
B.J. Upton had three hits and an RBI and Ben Zobrist added two hits and a run for the Rays, who have won five of their last seven games.
Tampa Bay starter Scott Kazmir gave up one run on four hits with four walks over six innings before leaving with arm trouble. Chad Bradford (1-0) earned the win for retiring the final batter of the seventh.
David DeJesus and Alberto Callaspo each drove in a run for the Royals, who have lost their last five games.
Kansas City starter Zach Greinke was charged with one run on nine hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings. Juan Cruz (3-4) took the loss after giving up two runs and two hits without retiring a batter.
