MLB: Minnesota 4, Texas 1

ARLINGTON, Texas, July 18 (UPI) -- Scott Baker allowed one run in eight innings and Michael Cuddyer had a homer and two RBI Saturday to lead the Minnesota Twins to a 4-1 win over Texas.

Cuddyer also scored twice for the Twins, who have won 12 of their last 17 road games. Justin Morneau and Carlos Gomez each drove in a run for Minnesota.

Baker (8-7) improved to 4-0 in his last five road starts, allowing six hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. Joe Nathan earned his 25th save of the season.

Nelson Cruz homered for Texas' only run as the Rangers lost their fourth consecutive game. Cruz finished the game 3-for-4.

Scott Feldman (8-3) was the losing pitcher after allowing three runs on five hits in six innings.
