MLB: Atlanta 11, New York Mets 0

ATLANTA, July 17 (UPI) -- Jair Jurrjens allowed only two hits Friday, Yunel Escobar drove in three runs and the Atlanta Braves had two homers in pounding the New York Mets 11-0.

The one-sided victory came on the night the Braves retired the uniform number of Greg Maddux, who won the Cy Young Award four times.
