MIAMI, July 14 (UPI) -- The lawyer for ex-New York Yankee Jim Leyritz says there are major discrepancies in the details of an alleged fight with his former wife.

Leyritz was granted bail by a Florida judge in a domestic violence case in which ex-wife Karrie Leyritz alleged he had beaten her.

The New York Daily News said Tuesday that Broward County Judge Marc Gold scolded Karrie Leyritz for supposedly changing her story about the July 2 incident.

Attorney David Bogenshutz said there were "staggering" differences in the versions of the story she told authorities, including the location of the alleged attack.

Gold also reinstated bond for Leyritz in an alcohol-involved vehicular manslaughter case that goes to trial in September.
