Ram captures Hall of Fame tennis title

NEWPORT, R.I., July 12 (UPI) -- Rajeev Ram dropped the opening set but came back to defeat Sam Querrey Sunday in the title match of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Rhode Island.

Ram won 6-7 (3-7), 7-5, 6-3 in a match that lasted a little over 2 hours.

The victory was Ram's first on the ATP Tour.

Querrey was seeking his second title on the tour.
