MLS: Los Angeles 1, Chivas USA 0

CARSON, Calif., July 12 (UPI) -- Edson Buddle scored 30 minutes into the game Saturday and the Los Angeles Galaxy beat Chivas USA 1-0 for their third consecutive MLS win.

Buddle scored his third goal of the season off a feed from A.J. DeLaGarza into the Chivas USA penalty area.

The Galaxy (5-3-9) is in fifth place in the MLS Western Conference, tied with Colorado at 24 points, seven points behind first-place Houston.

Chivas USA (8-5-3) has lost three straight and has 27 points, good for third place in the West.
