SEATTLE, July 12 (UPI) -- Rob Johnson's two-run homer in the seventh inning Saturday put Seattle ahead and the Mariners went on to beat Texas 4-1.

Jack Hannahan -- who came to the Mariners Saturday in a trade with Oakland -- doubled and then scored on an RBI single by Ichiro Suzuki in the seventh. Russell Branyan also homered for the Mariners.

Jarrod Washburn (6-6) got the win, going seven innings and allowing one run on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

Kevin Millwood (8-7) took the loss, giving up four runs on six with two walks and five strikeouts in six-plus innings.

Ian Kinsler's third-inning RBI double accounted for the only run for Texas, which lost for the second time in three games and surrendered the top spot in the AL West to the Los Angeles Angels, who pounded the New York Yankees 14-8 Saturday. LA leads Texas by ½ game in the West.
