MLB: Oakland 7, Tampa Bay 3

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., July 12 (UPI) -- Mark Ellis and Kurt Suzuki each drove in two runs for the Oakland Athletics Sunday in a 7-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Ellis hit a solo home run and sent in another run with a ground out. Suzuki had a couple of RBI singles and also scored twice.

Reliever Michael Wuertz (5-1) picked up the win, pitching four scoreless innings.

Patt Burrell had two hits and an RBI for Tampa Bay.

Dan Wheeler (3-2), who gave up the go-ahead run during a four-run Oakland seventh inning, took the loss.
