
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., July 12 (UPI) -- Adam Kennedy and Rajai Davis hit two-run, seventh-inning homers Saturday, keying the Oakland Athletics' 7-2 win over Tampa Bay.
Orlando Cabrera had three hits and two RBI, and his two-run eighth-inning double produced the game's final scoring. Mark Ellis drove in a run and Matt Holliday had two hits for the Athletics, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Winner Dallas Braden (7-7) gave up two earned runs and five hits in six innings with two walks and six strikeouts.
Relievers Michael Wuertz, Brad Ziegler and Andrew Bailey threw one scoreless inning apiece, striking out a combined seven of the nine batters they faced.
Tampa Bay's Ben Zobrist had two hits and one RBI. Gabe Kapler drove in a run and Gabe Gross had two hits for the Rays, whose four-game winning streak ended.
Losing pitcher Matt Garza (6-7) yielded three earned runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings with one walk and seven strikeouts.
