MILWAUKEE, July 12 (UPI) -- Mike Burns gave up three runs and six hits in five innings Saturday, helping the Milwaukee Brewers record a 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Burns (2-2) did not walk a batter, fanned seven and added a fourth-inning RBI single.
J.J. Hardy had two hits and two RBI, Frank Catalanotto hit a solo homer in the fourth, Prince Fielder had two hits and one RBI and Craig Counsell added a run and two hits for the Brewers, who had lost four of five.
Closer Trevor Hoffman earned his 20th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Rafael Furcal hit a two-run homer and Andre Ethier had a solo shot for the Dodgers, who had won four of five.
The losing pitcher was starter Jeff Weaver (5-3). He surrendered four runs and six hits in 3 1/3 innings.
LA closer Jonathan Broxton will miss the All-Star game with a toe injury, the team announced Saturday.
