
DETROIT, July 11 (UPI) -- Travis Hafner had two hits and two RBI Saturday to lead the Cleveland Indians to a 5-4 win over Detroit.
Detroit's Miguel Cabrera made things interesting by hitting a two-run homer off closer Kerry Wood with no outs in the bottom of the ninth.
Hafner's two-run single erased a 2-1 deficit with two outs in the bottom of the third. Asdrubal Cabrera had three hits and one RBI, Jhonny Peralta drove in a run and Luis Valbuena added two hits for the Indians, who had lost four of five.
Winner Carl Pavano (8-7) went eight innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with no walks and six strikeouts. Pavano has two straight victories following four-game winless streak.
Wood recorded his 12th save.
Ryan Raburn and Brandon Inge had one RBI apiece and Clete Thomas had two of the eight hits for the Tigers, who had won three in a row.
Losing pitcher Armando Galarraga (5-8) yielded four earned runs and nine hits in six innings.
