DENVER, July 11 (UPI) -- Two-run doubles by Garret Anderson and Diory Hernandez Friday, combined with a four-hit effort by Derek Lowe, brought Atlanta a 4-1 win over Colorado.

Anderson gave Atlanta a 2-0 lead in the first inning, and Colorado's Todd Helton brought his team within one with a sixth-inning homer.

It stayed a 2-1 contest until Hernandez produced his two-run double in the eighth, giving the Braves some insurance in halting Colorado's winning streak at four games.

Lowe (8-7) worked six innings, striking out five.

Rafael Soriano picked up his 11th save by throwing a perfect ninth, during which he struck out two.

Ubaldo Jimenez (6-9) took the loss, even though he allowed only two runs on six hits in six innings.

The contest was delayed for 52 minutes by rain before the start of the seventh inning.

Colorado reliever Alan Embree was injured in the seventh when a line drive from Martin Prado hit him in the lower left leg. He was taken to a hospital for X-rays.
