BUDAPEST, Hungary, July 10 (UPI) -- Agnes Szavay was an easy straight-set winner Friday at the GDF Suez Grand Prix tennis tournament in her native Hungary.

Szavay, the tournament's No. 4 seed, dispatched Timea Bacsinszky 6-2, 6-3 on the strength of seven service breaks. Szavay won two-thirds of the points off Bacsinszky's serve.

She goes against No. 6-seeded Alona Bondarenko in Saturday's semifinals. They are 1-1 in head-to-head WTA matches.

Bondarenko made the semis with a 7-5, 6-1 win Friday over Shahar Peer.

The second semifinal wasn't set because rain caused a suspension of play with top-seeded Patty Schnyder ahead of fifth-seeded Alisa Kleybanova 4-3 in the first set when conditions on the outdoor clay court became unplayable.

The winner of that match will meet Edina Gallovits in the second semifinal. Gallovits was a 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) winner over Petra Martic in her quarterfinal Friday.

Saturday's winners advance to the tournament title match Sunday with a first-place check of $37,000 at stake.
