ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., July 9 (UPI) -- Carlos Pena's fifth-inning two-run double Thursday led the Tampa Bay Rays to a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Thursday's victory capped a three-game sweep.

Pena's second hit snapped a 1-1 tie with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the fifth.

Like Pena, Evan Longoria had two hits and one RBI.

His single gave Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead with one out in the bottom of the first. Six other batters had one hit for the Rays, who had lost four in a row before the sweep.

Winner David Price (3-3) yielded an earned run and six hits in six innings with a walk and seven strikeouts.

Following two others, closer Grant Balfour retired five straight to earn his 11th save.

Toronto's John McDonald and Adam Lind had two hits and one RBI apiece. Alex Rios added two hits for the Blue Jays, who have lost six of seven.

The losing pitcher was starter Roy Halladay (10-3).

The contest was delayed for 20 minutes in the bottom of the seventh inning when the lights at Tropicana Field dimmed because of a fierce thunderstorm.

No injuries were reported.
