
SEATTLE, July 8 (UPI) -- Luke Scott had three hits and seven RBI Tuesday, fueling Baltimore's 12-4 romp over the Mariners in Seattle.
Scott had a single, triple and home run in the 11-hit Orioles attack. Nolan Reimold added another three RBI on two hits.
The Mariners led 3-2 after one inning of play in which the pitching on both side took its lumps.
Baltimore's Mark Hendrickson (4-4) picked up the win in relief of Jeremy Guthrie, who lasted 2 2/3 innings and gave up three runs on two hits and four walks.
Chris Jakubauskas (5-6) took the loss, giving up four runs on four hits 1 1/3 frames, after taking over for Erik Bedard in the fifth.
Scott put Baltimore ahead 2-0 in the first with a two-run single. Seattle then jumped ahead in the bottom of the frame on a three-run homer by Franklin Gutierrez.
Scott tripled to drive in two more runs in the four-run Baltimore sixth. He cracked a three-run home run in the seventh as the Orioles tacked on another six runs. Reimold accounted for two of the runs in the inning with an RBI single.
Seattle added its final run in the bottom of the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Ichiro Suzuki.
