PHILADELPHIA, July 7 (UPI) -- Ramon Hernandez singled home the winning run in the top of the ninth Tuesday to give Cincinnati a 4-3 victory over Philadelphia.

After trailing 3-0, the Reds battled back with two home runs by Brandon Phillips.

Philadelphia went 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position and left 12 men on base.

David Weathers (1-1) pitched one inning for the win. Francisco Cordero pitched a scoreless ninth for his 21st save.

Brad Lidge (0-4) took the loss after giving up two hits and a walk in the ninth.

Joey Votto doubled down the right-field line to begin the decisive inning, moved to third on a bunt and scored when Hernandez singled to center.

Chase Utley was 3-for-5 with an RBI, and Ryan Howard and Jayson Werth hit back-to-back homers for the Phillies.
