CARSON, Calif., July 5 (UPI) -- Alecko Eskandarian scored in his first game with Los Angeles Saturday in the Galaxy's 1-0 win over New England.

The Galaxy (4-3-9) acquired Eskandarian Wednesday from Chivas USA. The win was LA's third in its last five matches.

The Revolution (4-5-4) has lost two straight.

Eskandarian scored eight minutes into the game off a feed from Todd Dunivant from the left wing into the middle of the box.

Eskandarian broke away from a defender and kicked the ball inside the left post of the goal with his right foot.

The lead could have grown to 2-0. In the 30th minute, Omar Gonzalez headed the ball but it went straight to goalkeeper Matt Reis.
