MLS: Houston 1, Kansas City 0

KANSAS CITY, Kan., July 5 (UPI) -- Kei Kamara scored in the 18th minute Saturday and the Houston Dynamo beat Kansas City 1-0 to win for the sixth time in its last eight MLS matches.

Houston (9-3-4) broke a two-game losing streak and stretched its Western Conference lead over second-place Chivas USA to four points. With 31 points, the Dynamo has the best record in the league.

The Wizards (5-6-4) lost for the second time in their last three matches.

Kamara scored his fourth goal of the season off a feed from Mike Chabala.
