NEW YORK, July 5 (UPI) -- Hideki Matsui hit a three-run homer and finished with four RBI Sunday to help the New York Yankees register a 10-8 win over Toronto.
The homer, Matsui's 13th, pulled New York within 8-7 with one out in the bottom of the fourth. Derek Jeter's two-run homer gave New York a 9-8 lead in the fifth.
Jeter had four hits, Jorge Posada had four hits and three RBI, Nick Swisher drove in a run and Robinson Cano added two hits for the Yankees, who have won three straight and 10 of their last 11.
Jonathan Albaladejo (3-1), who was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre early Sunday, got the win.
Alfredo Aceves earned his first save.
Aaron Hill and Adam Lind hit two-run homers for Toronto. Hill had three RBI, Lind and Marco Scutaro drove in two each and Raul Chavez knocked in one for the Blue Jays, who have lost seven of eight.
The losing pitcher was B.J. Ryan (1-1).
