Knowles, Groenefeld win mixed doubles

LONDON, July 5 (UPI) -- Mark Knowles of the Bahamas and Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany were upset winners Sunday in the mixed doubles championship match at Wimbledon.

Knowles and Groenefeld, seeded No. 9, knocked off the top-seeded team of Leander Paes of India and Cara Black of Zimbabwe 7-5, 6-3.

The favorites led 5-2 in the opening set but Knowles and Groenefeld won the next eight games to take control of the match.
