MLS: Chicago 2, Colorado 1

COMMERCE CITY, Colo., July 4 (UPI) -- Marco Pappa and Wilman Conde scored and the Chicago Fire moved into a tie with D.C. United for the MLS East lead Saturday with a 2-1 win over Colorado.

Chicago (6-3-6) got first-half goals by Pappa and Conde less than eight minutes apart. Pappa had his goal at the half hour mark and Conde added his second goal of the season in the 37th minute.

Jacob Peterson scored an unassisted goal for Colorado (5-4-6) in the 76th minute.
