WASHINGTON, July 4 (UPI) -- Adam Dunn hit his 300th career home run and had two RBI Saturday, helping Washington rally to a 5-3 win over Atlanta.
Dunn's homer, his 22nd this season, cut Washington's deficit to 3-1 with none out in the bottom of the seventh, ending Tommy Hanson's 26-inning scoreless streak. Dunn's RBI single snapped a 3-3 tie in the eighth.
Ryan Zimmerman's lone hit, a two-run single in the eighth, had created the tie. Josh Willingham also drove in a run for the Nationals, who broke their four-game losing streak.
Winner John Lannan (6-5) surrendered three earned runs and nine hits in eight innings. He was helped by four double plays.
Closer Mike MacDougal got his fourth save.
Atlanta's Nate McLouth and Garret Anderson had two hits and one RBI each. Chipper Jones also drove in a run for the Braves, who had won five in a row.
The losing pitcher was reliever Mike Gonzalez (3-1).
