Arbitrators rule against Orioles pitcher Bergesen

DENVER, July 3 (UPI) -- Jorge De La Rosa threw eight shutout innings Friday and the Colorado Rockies opened a 10-game homestand with a 5-0 blanking of Arizona.
The Diamondbacks, who committed three errors and had only four hits, have lost eight of their last nine.
De La Rosa (5-7) won his third straight start. He allowed all four Arizona hits, struck out six and walked four.
Joel Peralta and Huston Street finished off the shutout by combining for a perfect ninth.
Ian Stewart put the Rockies in front with a solo homer in the second.
Max Scherzer (5-6) took the loss. He allowed five runs, three of them earned, on six hits in six innings.
The game was delayed 22 minutes at the start by rain.
