DETROIT, July 1 (UPI) -- The Detroit Pistons have agreed to terms with guard Ben Gordon and forward Charlie Villanueva, the Detroit Free Press reported Wednesday.

The newspaper said that although the deals cannot be made official until July 8, they have both agreed to five-year contracts. Villanueva will reportedly sign for $35 million and Gordon for $55 million.

Gordon has spent his first five professional seasons with Chicago. He has averaged 18.5 points a game in 398 career contests. Villanueva has played 274 career games in four seasons. He was drafted by Toronto and was traded to Milwaukee after his rookie year.

Who they will play for remains to be seen. The Pistons fired their coach, Michael Curry, Tuesday after he produced a 39-43 record in his only season with the team.
