MIAMI, July 1 (UPI) -- Hanley Ramirez had four RBI, including a two-run homer, for the Florida Marlins Tuesday in their rain-shortened 7-5 win over the Washington Nationals.
Florida rallied for three runs in the sixth and another three in the seventh, which turned out to be the final inning of the game that was called after a rain delay of nearly 90 minutes.
Reynel Pinto (3-1) struck out the side in the top of the seventh to pick up the win. Joe Beimel (0-4) gave up two runs in 1/3 inning for the loss.
Adam Dunn homered and drove in three runs for the Nationals.
Washington led 5-4 heading into the seventh as the weather deteriorated. Florida loaded the bases on two walks, a sacrifice bunt and an error, setting the stage for Ramirez's two-run single follow by an RBI single by Jorge Cantu.
Ramirez had homered in the previous inning to cut the Washington lead to 5-4.
