MIAMI, July 1 (UPI) -- Cody Ross and Hanley Ramirez both had two hits and two RBI Wednesday, boosting Florida to a 5-3 win over the Washington Nationals, capping a three-game sweep.
Ross hit a solo homer, his 14th, creating a 3-3 tie leading off the bottom of the seventh after a 19-minute rain delay.
Wes Helms had an RBI groundout in the eighth and six others had one hit each for the Marlins, who improved to 9-0 against the Nationals this season.
Ramirez has driven in at least one run in a franchise-record 10 straight games and is the first National League shortstop ever in that category.
The winner was Dan Meyer (2-0).
Leo Nunez, the last of six pitchers, earned his fourth save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Josh Willingham and starter Jordan Zimmermann had two hits and one RBI apiece for the Nationals, who stranded 13 base runners and have lost five of six.
The losing pitcher was reliever Julian Tavarez (3-6).
