BALTIMORE, July 1 (UPI) -- Julio Lugo's 11th-inning RBI single boosted the Boston Red Sox to a 6-5 win Wednesday over the Baltimore Orioles.

Boston overcame a 5-1 deficit with a four-run ninth inning, led by a two-run homer by Kevin Youkilis and Rocco Baldelli's score-tying two-run single.

Dustin Pedroia also had one RBI for the Red Sox, who have won four of their last six games.

Wednesday's winner was Ramon Ramirez (5-2). Closer Jonathan Papelbon earned his 20th save with a 1-2-3 ninth, one game after he blew a save in Baltimore's 11-10 win Tuesday when the Orioles rallied back from a 10-1 deficit.

Baltimore's Nic Markakis hit a two-run double in the third inning. Luke Scott and Ty Wigginton both hit solo homers, and Felix Pie had one RBI for the Orioles, who went hitless in their final 24 at-bats and have lost three of four.

The losing pitcher was Danys Baez (4-2).
