LONDON, June 30 (UPI) -- The big question ahead of Wednesday's quarterfinals at London's Wimbledon Championships is can Andy Murray quickly recover from his five-set, fourth-round match.

Murray needed more than four hours of play Monday to get past Stanislas Wawrinka 2-6, 6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3. The match ended after 10:30 p.m., cutting into Murray's rest time ahead of the quarterfinals.

The draw has Murray next going against Juan Carlos Ferrero, a wild-card entrant who has knocked off two Top 10 players en route to the quarters. They have met just once before, that coming this year in a Wimbledon tuneup and Murray won in straight sets.

Another intriguing matchup sends world No. 2 Roger Federer against 22nd-seeded Ivo Karlovic. Federer's resume is well covered -- another Wimbledon title will give him a record 15 Grand Slam titles and restore him to the No. 1 ranking.

Karlovic has had a strong Wimbledon. He has a huge serve with 137 aces so far in the tournament. But this is the first time he's made a Grand Slam quarterfinal and he's 1-8 against Federer.

Fourth-seeded Novak Djokovic has lost one set in making the quarterfinals, where he faces 24th-seeded Tommy Haas. They have played three times, Djokovic winning the first two but Haas taking a three-set victory at a grass-court tournament this year.

No. 6-seeded Andy Roddick plays Lleyton Hewitt in the fourth quarterfinal. Hewitt owns a 6-5 edge in head-to-head meetings but Roddick won the last four meetings.
