MLB: Tampa Bay 4, Toronto 1

TORONTO, June 30 (UPI) -- Matt Garza pitched into the eighth inning Tuesday to help the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Garza (6-5) allowed one run on seven hits for the Rays, who won their seventh straight game.

Willy Aybar, Carl Crawford and B.J. Upton all homered for Tampa Bay.

Toronto starter Scott Richmond (6-5) gave up three runs on six hits and five walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings.

Blue Jays third baseman Scott Rolen scored the lone Toronto run and extended his hitting streak to 18 games on a 1-for-4 performance.
