BURR RIDGE, Ill., June 30 (UPI) -- New York Knicks player Eddy Curry's mansion in Burr Ridge, Ill., is in foreclosure, Cook County authorities said.

Curry, a former Chicago Bulls center, owed $217,502 on a $3.7 million mortgage, Bayview Loan Servicing said in its filing Monday in Circuit Court.

Curry and his wife, Patrice Curry, were granted the 30-year mortgage in July 2006, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Tuesday.

The initial monthly payment was $28,675 on an interest rate of 9.25 percent, the Sun-Times reported.

Neither the Currys nor their lawyer could be reached for comment.

A year after they bought the home, the Currys were robbed by three gunmen who bound them and stole jewelry and cash before fleeing. No one was hurt and two men were later charged in the robbery.

In January of this year, Curry's ex-girlfriend and their 9-month-old daughter were slain in their Chicago condo. Curry's 3-year-old son was found unhurt. A lawyer linked to the girlfriend was charged with the killings, the Sun-Times reported.
