Perry at career-high No. 4 ranking

VIRGINIA WATER, England, June 29 (UPI) -- Kenny Perry's PGA victory in Connecticut jumbled the Top 10 of the men's golf rankings, with Perry reaching a career-best ranking in the process.

Perry won the Travelers Championship, finishing three strokes ahead of David Toms. It was Perry's second win of the year and boosted him to the top of the FedEx Cup standings.

He started 2009 ranked 14th in the world but had moved to seventh before of the Travelers. The win there moved him to fourth, his highest ever ranking. The jump of three spots pushed Sergio Garcia. Henrik Stenson and Geoff Ogilvy each down one spot to Nos. 5-7, respectively.

Tiger Woods is ranked No. 1 with Phil Mickelson second and Paul Casey third.

Steve Stricker held onto his No. 8 ranking but Jim Furyk improved to ninth and knocked Vijay Singh to 10th.

Toms, the Travelers runner-up, went from 38th to No. 25 in the latest rankings. He began the year ranked 116th.
