The Athletics had placed Outman on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left elbow Wednesday, and then transferred him Sunday to the 60-day disabled list.

Outman, who left his June 19 start against San Diego after just 1 2/3 innings, is 4-1 with a 3.48 ERA in 14 games, 12 starts, with Oakland this season.
