MLB: Chicago White Sox 6, Cleveland 3

CLEVELAND, June 29 (UPI) -- Gavin Floyd pitched 7 2/3 scoreless innings Monday to lead the Chicago White Sox in a 6-3 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

Floyd (6-5) gave up only five hits with two walks. Since May 17, Floyd is 4-1 with a 1.37 ERA and has yielded one earned run or less in five straight outings.

Gordon Beckham had three hits and two RBI for Chicago, which has won seven of its last nine games. Chris Getz doubled twice, scored twice and drove in a run in the victory.

Shin-Soo Choo hit a solo homer and Ryan Garko had a two-run homer in the ninth inning for the Indians, who have lost 11 of their last 13 games.

Loser Carl Pavano (6-7) gave up only two runs on five hits with six strikeouts in seven innings.
