BALTIMORE, June 28 (UPI) -- Adam Dunn and Willie Harris homered Sunday, leading Washington to a 5-3 inter-league win over Baltimore that averted a three-game Orioles sweep.
Dunn's homer, his 19th, gave Washington a 2-1 lead with one out in the top of the fourth inning.
Harris had three hits -- one a solo shot in the seventh.
Like Harris, Anderson Hernandez had three hits and one RBI.
Josh Willingham had three hits and one run scored on an eighth-inning error by Matt Wieters for the Nationals, who have split their last four contests.
Winner John Lannan (5-5) yielded three earned runs and six hits in 7 1/3 innings. Closer Mike MacDougal earned his third save.
Aubrey Huff led Baltimore with two hits and one RBI. Two others had one RBI for the Orioles, who have lost four of six.
Losing pitcher David Hernandez (1-2) allowed three earned runs and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings.
