OAKLAND, Calif., June 28 (UPI) -- Brad Hawpe hit a home run in the first inning, one of four Colorado homers, as the Colorado Rockies beat Oakland 11-9 Saturday in an inter-league contest.
Ian Stewart, Clint Barmes and Seth Smith each had solo homers for the Rockies, who have won 19 of their last 22 games.
Jorge De La Rosa (4-7) got the win after going six innings and giving up two runs on five hits. Huston Street got his 18th save.
Hawpe, whose homer was the 100th of his career, and Todd Helton each had two RBI. Paul Phillips and Troy Tulowitzki also drove in a run apiece.
Kurt Suzuki, Landon Powell and Bobby Crosby drove in two runs each and Jack Cust and Adam Kennedy each had an RBI for the A's.
Trevor Cahill (5-6) took the loss, the A's fourth straight, after giving up seven runs on eight hits in 3 2/3 innings.
The A's threatened with four runs in the ninth. After Suzuki led off with a double and Ryan Sweeney singled, Powell hit a two-run double and scored on Daric Barton's fly off the wall to right. Crosby hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Barton before Rajai David struck out swinging to end the game.
