CROMWELL, Conn., June 28 (UPI) -- Former Masters champion Kenny Perry shot 7-under-par 63 Sunday and won the PGA Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn., by three shots.

Perry finished 72 holes with a record-setting total of 22-under 258, beating the previous low of 259 set by Tim Norris in 1982.

"With so many people so close, I knew it was going to be something special today to win this golf tournament," the 48-year-old Elizabethtown, Ky., native said after winning his 11th tournament title since turning 40. "My goal was to birdie every hole out there. That was my mind set and I wasn't changing from that."

Third-round leader Paul Goydos (67) and David Toms (65) finished 19-under 261 to share second place.

"(Perry) just didn't make any mistakes," said Goydos, who began the round with a one-shot lead over Perry.

Ryan Moore and Hunter Mahan both shot 6-under 64 Sunday and, at 17-under 263, shared fourth place with Ben Curtis (65).
