
ARLINGTON, Texas, June 27 (UPI) -- Kyle Blanks had two hits and three RBI Saturday when the San Diego Padres recorded a 7-3 inter-league win over the Texas Rangers.
Blanks, hitting just .190 coming into the game, had two doubles and drove in three runs -- one in the second inning and two in the fifth.
David Eckstein had two hits and two RBI. Everth Cabrera and Henry Blanco both had two hits and one RBI, while both Chase Headley and Kevin Kouzmanoff had two runs and three hits for the Padres, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Winner Kevin Correia (5-5) yielded three earned runs and five hits in seven innings with one walk and nine strikeouts.
Michael Young, Andruw Jones and Chris Davis each drove in a run for Texas, Davis with a third-inning home run. Young had two of the six hits for the Rangers, who have lost six of nine.
The losing pitcher was starter Derek Holland (1-5).
